As a Certified B Corporation, MacroHI (AROMASE, juliArt) is committed to environmental sustainability, creating value for people, and using business as a force for good. We upholding the vision of "Inspire Lives, Brighten the World" and the mission of "Promoting Scalp Health and Wellbeing of All Human Beings".
In response to the climate emergency, MacroHI aligns with SDG13 Climate Action goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By 2024, MacroHI achieved “PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality” 26 years ahead of the Paris Agreement and passed third-party verification. This milestone makes MacroHI the first haircare Certified B corporation in Taiwan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2024.
After conducting an ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Inventory and ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint analysis, MacroHI identified key areas of carbon emissions and implemented reduction measures. These include reducing electricity consumption by 7%, using more than 50% renewable energy, minimizing daily waste, and recycling bottles. MacroHI aims to reduce carbon emissions by over 40% by 2023 compared to the baseline year of 2022 (Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions), ultimately achieving carbon neutrality through internationally recognized carbon offsets.
We hope this sets a precedent for Taiwan's SMEs, encouraging more enterprises to join climate action and move towards a sustainable future.
Commitments towards Net Zero
Net Zero by 2030
In 2020, MacroHI was officially certified as a "B Corporation" and in the same year joined the global B Corp Climate Collective's "Net Zero 2030" initiative, aiming to achieve net zero emissions by 2030.

Achieved! Renewable Energy Initiative: RE10x10 by 2025
Based on the organization's ISO 14064 greenhouse gas inventory and ISO 14067 product carbon footprint, MacroHI has identified an emission hotspot: "electricity use" in operations and manufacturing. Therefore, in response to this key carbon reduction initiative, we are committed to introducing renewable energy by signing on to the Greenpeace RE10x10 Initiative in 2020, committing to use more than 10% renewable energy by 2025. We have already achieved this goal since 2021, and has siginificantly increased use of renewable energy in 2023 to more than 50% annually for our headquarter (Read More: Renewable Energy Collaboration of MacroHI and AcTel Power).
MacroHI 2023 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory Report
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions (by market)
MacroHI worked with external professional consultants to conduct the 2023 Organizational GHG Inventory. The scope is MacroHI's headquarter in Zhonghe, Newtaipei City, including: head office, InnoVeg Lab (research center), and Zhonghe warehouse. After 3rd party external verification by bsi, the emissions for each category were as follows:
Scope | Emissions | Activities |
Scope 1 (Category 1) | 3.66 tCO2e | Fuel for company-owned vehicles, generators of the office building, refrigerant, etc. |
Scope 2 (Category 2) | 56.81 tCO2e | Use of purchased electricity |
Scope 3 (Category 3~6) | 65.98 tCO2e | Based on the materiality assessment, the following items are the significant items in Scope 3 of the GHG Inventory and Carbon Neutrality:
|
Scope 3 (Category 3~6) (added this year) | 171.56 tCO2e |
|
MacroHI Greenhouse Gas Reduction Strategy
Scope 1 (Category 1) 【1.47 tCO2e GHG Reduced】
Replace company-owned vehicle with electric vehicles
Prioritize the use of video conferencing instead of in-person meetings to reduce transportation
Scope 2 (Category 2) 【7% Energy Reduced、66.23 tCO2e GHG Reduced】
Save energy
Set energy-saving goals
Establish Green Procurement Policy and choose energy efficient devices and equipments
Communicate energy-saving tips and enforce management measutres
Track energy-saving results on a monthly basis
Increase the use of renewable energy
Scope 3 (Category 3~6) 【26.6 tCO2e GHG Reduced】
Incorporate "Circular Economy" concepts in our scalp care product design:
Establish "Green R&D Guidelines" and prioritize the use of low-carbon raw materials by referring to the carbon footprint and life cycle analysis(LCA).
Prioritize the use of PCR recycled plastic for producing bottles and caps.
For packaging materials, use lightweight stuffings with PCR recycled materials and recycled paper cartons with "Green Mark" by EPA Taiwan
Encourage consumers to use Package+ and other circular boxes for shipments.
Establish Office Zero-waste Policy and Zero Waste Day, promoting green actions by all staff every month.
